LBC is an independent insurance agency providing comprehensive insurance coverages and personal, customer service for affluent individuals and families. We employ our unique Coverage Assessment Process and Renewal Solutions Review to identify and eliminate potentials risks, exposures and gaps in coverage. LBC works closely with your other trusted advisors like financial planners, accountants and attorneys to ensure that your financial assets and personal property are properly protected.

A third-generation family business founded in 1921, LBC continues to grow and expand our geographical reach. With offices in New York and Connecticut, we have clients in 32 states and multiple countries.

J. Jeffers Cox is Chief Executive Officer and President of Lloyd Bedford Cox, Inc. He proudly represents the 3rd generation of his family to lead LBC. After starting his career as a credit analyst in the corporate lending area at Manufacturers Hanover Trust Company, he joined the LBC team in 1990, working closely with his father and past President, Lloyd B. Cox, Jr. Jeff’s primary responsibilities include new business development and strategic planning; he strongly adheres to the company’s founding principle of superior customer service and is the leading producer for the agency. He was instrumental in moving the agency to 100% personal lines and spinning off the commercial and life insurance operations. Jeff is licensed for property & casualty insurance in over 30 states and life, accident & health insurance in New York and Connecticut. He has been a frequent guest speaker for the Chubb Group of Insurance Companies.

Jeff graduated from The Kent School in Kent, CT in 1983 and received his Bachelor of Arts degree with Honors in Economics from St. Lawrence University in 1987. While a student at SLU, Jeff spent a semester studying in Japan, and was tapped as a member of Omicron Delta Kappa, a leadership honorary society. His personal interests include golfing, skiing, and reading, and he has been active in several community organizations including the Bedford Free Library and The Caring Circle. He is a current member of the John Jay Homestead Advisory Council and is a former alumni association representative for both St. Lawrence University and Rippowam Cisqua School. He and his wife Mary live in Bedford, NY with their two children, Brian and Sarah.

Lloyd B. Cox, III

Lloyd B. Cox, III is Vice President of the firm that bears his grandfather’s name. Prior to joining his father and brother in 1991, he spent 2 years working for Mutual of New York Life Insurance in New Hampshire. As a trusted advisor to his clients, Lloyd specializes in creating simple coverage solutions used to eliminate the multiple exposures that his high net-worth clients encounter, with the ability to insure properties in most states. He is a licensed insurance agent in property & casualty, and life, accident & health insurance.

A graduate of The Forman School in Litchfield, CT, Lloyd attended Keene State College in Keene, New Hampshire, graduating in 1987. While at Keene, he majored in Business Management, with a minor in Marketing, and attended the Semester at Sea study abroad program, administered through the University of Pittsburgh. He is an avid skier and snowboarder. Lloyd is active in The Caring Circle and a supporter of the Katonah Community Center. He and his wife Tori live in Pound Ridge, NY with their two active sons, Dylan and Tyler.

Mark C. Mischenko, Jr.

Mark C. Mischenko, Jr. is Chief Operating Officer and Assistant Vice President of Lloyd Bedford Cox, Inc. He joined the firm in 1999. In addition to new business development and strategic planning, Mark is responsible for client services, accounting, human resources, technology planning and carrier relationships. His creativity was instrumental in transforming LBC into one of the first paperless insurance agencies in the country. He is licensed and able to insure clients in many states and is licensed in New York and Connecticut for life, accident & health insurance.

A native of Marlborough, MA, Mark attended St. Lawrence University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics in 1999. While at St. Lawrence, Mark was a member of the men’s soccer team and was a founding member of the men’s golf team. He is an avid reader, skier and golfer and actively volunteers with Friends of Karen. Mark and his wife Amy reside in Ridgefield, CT with their son Cobie.

Gregory E. Williams

Gregory E. Williams was appointed Chief Underwriting Officer of Lloyd Bedford Cox, Inc. in July, 2008. He is responsible for all underwriting, policy issuance and coverage determination for LBC clients.

Greg joined LBC, Inc. in 2003, first as Growth Coordinator and later as an Account Coordinator; he is licensed for property & casualty insurance in both New York and Connecticut. Prior to LBC, Greg worked for Waddell and Reed, selling mutual funds and life insurance. As LBC’s Chief Underwriting Officer, Greg’s specialties are underwriting, pricing and contract analysis.

A native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Greg graduated from Middlebury College in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. While at Middlebury, he was a member of the varsity football team and Alpha Delta Phi Society. Greg’s personal interests include skiing, fishing, and boating. He is also active in several charitable organizations, including the Multiple Sclerosis Society, Kiva Microloans, and Operation Smile. He resides in Stamford, CT.
